About us

A resident-led home for Stockwell.

The Old Laundry is managed in partnership with Hyde Housing and local organisations — particularly the Stockwell Gardens Tenants & Residents Association and the Young People Matter charity.

Our story

In August 2023, The Old Laundry reopened following a major renovation. Hyde's multi-million-pound investment included asbestos removal, refurbished community and office spaces, and landscaped outdoor areas.

Young People Matter, which has supported the local area since 2007, continues to play a central role in the building and wider community.

The TRA

Our Tenants & Residents Association has a long history of vibrant resident involvement at local and strategic levels, and welcomes every opportunity to improve services and conditions within the local community.

The TRA is made up of a diverse cross-section of Stockwell residents, including members from other local organisations and charities.

We currently represent over 2,000 households.
